The roots of my journey into instructional design trace back to a time long before I even knew what the field was. I grew up immersed in learning, surrounded by my grandmother's World Book Encyclopedia set and inspired by my other grandmother’s work as a teacher advocating for educational equity during school integration. Early on, I saw how education could not only open doors but also transform lives.

My great-grandmother’s kitchen became my first classroom, where she showed me that the most powerful learning comes from hands-on experience—a principle I still hold close in my approach to instructional design. These incredible women taught me that teaching is more than simply sharing knowledge; it's about crafting experiences that help people grow.

After years in the middle school classroom, I realized my passion for creating and delivering training extended far beyond traditional education. From leading professional development sessions to designing intervention programs, I naturally gravitated toward building learning experiences that made complex ideas clear and engaging.

Today, I specialize in transforming complex SaaS products and solutions into practical, actionable learning experiences. My background in psychology, paired with my artistic side (in my downtime, you might find me practicing calligraphy), gives me a unique approach to designing training that doesn’t just inform but resonates with learners on a deeper level.

When I’m not crafting learning solutions, I’m making memories with my husband and children, creating art, or diving into a new area of learning—even if I’ve accepted that my skills are better suited to helping people grow than growing gardens!

I believe that effective learning design blends art and science. It calls for both technical precision and creative flair, and, most importantly, an understanding of how people learn best. Whether developing sales enablement programs or technical training modules, my goal is always the same: to create learning experiences that inspire confidence, elevate performance, and leave a lasting impact.
